Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

A Very Strange Monday Here at PPL

Grandma Sue and Ms. Nissa both called in sick today and I had a family emergency that kept me out until around 1:15pm. In other words our whole department was gone! I've been here 18 years and that's never happened before! Very strange!

I put the picture of our craft back up because we are doing it this Wednesday! (I hope we all won't call in sick again!) No, I'm sure today was a fluke. :)

Our activities this week are:

Monday: No ELF (No one was here...)

Tuesday: 12:15pm Story time Preschool and Toddlers
3:00pm After school story time (ages 5-9)
4:00-6:00pm Homework Center is open

Wednesday: 3:00pm Halloween Craft
3:30-4:30pm Grandparents and Books
4:00-6:00pm Homework Center is open

Thursday: 12:15pm Infant Story time

3:30pm Big Read Craft
4:00-6:00pm Homework Center is open.

See you here!

Joke of the day: Knock, knock
Whose there?
Thermos.
Thermos who?
Thermos be an easier way to do this! :)
