Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Our Magical Time With Abbit the Average!

What a great time we had last Wednesday with our good friend Abbit the Average. If you have seen his show you know that he is anything but average! He is a talented magician, comedian and a heck of a nice guy. He is very good with children and has everyone laughing through the whole show. He really is my favorite children's entertainer and there are some really terrific entertainers out there. In order to book him for the summer, I try to book him by December seven months earlier! I like to watch the children watch his show. I never tire of watching the outright belly laughs coming from them!

Tomorrow we have Wild Wonders for our show. They will bring animals to show you and they just might let you touch some of them. Remember that our show time is 3:30pm.

SEE YOU HERE!!!!

Joke of the day: What kind of wave attacks bookstores?
Answer: A title wave. :)
