Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Under the Weather

8/365 - Under the weather

Good morning, young Pomonans! I'm a little under the weather today. Under the weather...do you ever wonder where these little sayings come from? Why not on top of the weather or beside the weather? Why weather at all?? I'm sick for heavens sake! I do love this photo, however! Thank you flickr!

Anyway, I'm very sorry to miss story time. I hate being sick on Tuesdays. It's not fair!

I'll stop whining now. Believe me I could go on and on but it isn't pretty and I'm sure you have better things to do.

Have yourselves a GREAT day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Joke of the day: Why don't we make fun of colds?
Answer: Because they're nothing to sneeze at! ;)
