Hey young Pomonans! Come to the Library this Saturday to read to a dog like this one pictured. P.A.W.P.A.L.S. stands for Reading Education Assistance Dogs from the Paws to Heal Group. A child will be paired with a dog to practice their reading. How cool is that?
This program begins the Pomona Big Read Program. All Pomonans (including young Pomonans) are to read the book, "Call of the Wild", by Jack London. This book is about a dog and we thought this would be the perfect way to include you in our big read.
Mark the time at 1:00pm-3:00pm in the children's room for this great opportunity. How often do you see a dog in the Library?
Joke of the day: What do you give to a dog to make him laugh?
Answer: A Funny Bone! :)
