Hello young Pomonans! As you can see we had a great time with Adventure Quest Institute as they presented a program on dog sledding. Yes, it really was 96 degrees here in Pomona but we didn't even think of the heat as we listened to the program.The little person that is dressed in the parka and boots is really a Pomona resident. The over sized clothing makes her look like a space person or something! She is showing some of the things that sledders have to wear to keep warm on the snow. You can see that the face is totally covered except for the eyes.
Mayor Rothman and his son Jason came to get in all of the fun. A good time was had by all and we even learned things in the process. That's how I like to learn!
We also had bingo playing in the conference room. It was well attended and many received prizes.
