Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Pacific Animals Tomorrow at PPL

Good Tuesday, young Pomonans! Pacific Animals will be here tomorrow, August 10th from 3:30-4:30pm. This picture was taken last year. Remember our air conditioner was out? Yea, I don't much want to remember that, but we did have our programs outside. This year our air is working fabulous and we will have this program inside. This is the baby alligator they brought last year and I'm sure they will be bringing either this one or another one like it. You don't want to miss this!!

Our Summer Reading Program will officially end tomorrow. But remember we are still here to help you get ready for school.

Beginning in September, our story times will be a bit different. Our schedule will be:

Tuesdays 12:15-12:45pm Preschoolers ages 2 to 5.

Wednesdays 12:15pm-12:45pm Infants ages 0 to 2.

See you here!!!!!

Joke of the day: What did the doctor give the patient with a splitting headache?
Answer: Glue! ;)
