Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Good Wednesday, young Pomonans! We had a very successful 2nd Puppet Reader's Theater. The puppets were made by the cast members and turned out really well. They had little "commercials" between the stories and a GREAT time was had by all! I can't wait for the 3rd annual Puppet Reader's Theater!

Next Wednesday is our last program of our Summer Reading Program. This year went so fast!!
August 10th we will have Pacific Animals come. Last year they brought a baby alligator! You don't want to miss this!

Joke of the day: Who can jump higher than a 10 story building?
Answer: Anybody! Buildings can't jump! ;)
