Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Good Tuesday, young Pomonans! I really like this picture of books. I never thought to arrange books by color. It looks great!

Here are our activities this week:

Tuesday: 11:45am Preschool story time

Wednesday: 3:30-4:30pm Grandparents and Books

Thursday: 11:45am Infant story time

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Our Homework Help Center will NOT be open this week due to Cal Poly Pomona's spring break. They will be back Tuesday, March 30th and will be open an hour longer. Beginning the 30th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, our Homework Help Center will be open from 3:30-6:30pm. This is GREAT news so please be sure to come by and get help from our fabulous volunteers from Cal Poly Pomona.

Joke of the day: Teacher: Did your parents help you with these homework problems?
Pupil: No, I got them all wrong by myself!

(Come to our Homework Center!!!! ;)

As a tutoring back-up, students could call the free Math Homework Hotline, which is staffed by very helpful Harvey Mudd College students.

Here's a link to info about the hotline, including the contact number:

Thanks Pride! I'm going to post about it since not everyone reads comments.

I do appreciate the info!
