Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Hello young Pomonans! It's already May and time for our spring craft. This craft will be Wednesday, May 6th at 3:00pm. In case you can't tell, we will be making bumble bees made out of toilet paper tubes. How creative!

Here are our activities for this week:

Tuesday 12:15pm Preschool story time
3:00pm After school story time
4-6pm Homework help center

Wednesday: 3:00pm Spring craft
3:30-4:30pm Grandparents and books
4-6pm Homework help center

Thursday: 12:15pm Infant story time

That's it! Our usual schedule plus a craft. Don't forget this Sunday is Mother's day. Get your Mom something special this year!

Joke of the day: Why does bread get fat?
Answer: Because it loafs around all day. :)
