Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Christmas is over and the new year is almost here. Our schedule this week is:

Tuesday 12/28 12:00pm-7:00pm
We won't be having a formal story time but the story hour room will be open from 12:00-2:00pm and the toys will be out for whoever wants to stop by.

Wednesday through Sunday: Closed

It's been a difficult year here at PPL. Here's to a brand new 2011.

Attainable New Year's Resolutions:

This year I resolve to ...

Not jump off a cliff just because everyone else did.
Create loose ends.
Eat three meals a day.
Not swim with sharks
Stay off the international space station.
Be far away from an active volcano.

Happy New Year! Have a great 2011 from the Pomona Public Library!
