Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

PPL Closed Today Due to Heat

Hello young Pomonans! Since we still have no air conditioning, we are closing the library because it is sooooo hot! So don't bother going out into the heat if you are coming to the library. I am blogging this from home because Ms. Nissa was nice enough to call me and tell me not to come in.

For tomorrow and Wednesday, word is that we will be open 8:00am to noon. If you need to come into the library, come early when it is not so hot and we will be there for you!

Stay cool young Pomonans!

Joke of the day: What do you call a snowman with a tan?

Answer: A puddle! ;)

ASDFGHJKL;
And you guys aren't gonna open on TH/F to make up for the loss of hours due to the heatwave.

I also just failed at life--- Totally forgot to check THIS library for two required readings that I have right now. MAYBE I SHOULDN'T BE A LIBRARIAN IF I KINDA CAN'T REMEMBER TO CHECK THE CITY LIBRARY WHEN I'M LOOKING ELSEWHERE FOR THE BOOKS.
