Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Puppet Readers Theater at PPL

We had a great time with our Puppet Readers Theater! We had six cast members who were given parts to read and then they made a puppet of their characters! They did a really great job as you can see. We had a water theme this year so our stories were about water. At the end we passed out some puppets to the audience and the cast came out from behind the theater and danced to "Splish, Splash, I Was Taking a Bath". It was a lot of fun.

Afterwards we went out to the childrens room and everyone made a puppet, a bookworm of course!

We had a great day. It was so good to see so many of you at our show!

Joke of the day: How do you cut the sea in half?
Answer: With a sea saw! ;)
