Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Support Our Police!

Good Tuesday, young Pomonans! My friend Ren brought over this cool police car in support of our Pomona Police Department. I have it in a locked display case because I'm afraid it might walk off somehow. Ren makes these great "scrappy toys" that you all should check out at imagesofpomonabyren.blogspot.com. I'm sorry to say I don't know how to do links or I would link it for you. This car is actually a wind toy that will turn around in the wind! How cool is that?

We all want to show the Pomona Police that we support them. Next time you see a Pomona Police officer tell them "great job" or "well done." And thanks again to Ren.

Here are our activities for the week:

Tuesday: 11:45am Preschool story time
3:30-6:30pm Homework help center

Wednesday: 3:30-4:30pm Grandparents and books with Grandma Jean
3:30-6:30pm Homework help center

Thursday: 11:45am Infant story time
3:30-6:30pm Homework help center

See you here at the PPL! Come in and see this great police car!

Joke of the day: Why did the cowboy die with his boots on?
Answer: Because he didn't want to stub his toe when he kicked the bucket! ;)
