Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Pomona Spring Break!

Hey young Pomonans! What are you all doing for spring break? How about coming to the library and just read for fun? We will show you where all the really great books are and you can relax and read all week. How great does that sound? Or like the kids in this picture, create something new.

Just don't forget that we are here for you. There won't be any Homework Center this week because you all are not in school!

See you soon!

Joke of the day: Why did the hen cross the road?
Answer: To prove she wasn't chicken! ;)

Ms. Lois, I took my daughter during Spring Break to the Library for our first time! We LOVED the amazing doll collection there. That alone was worth the visit. I sort of glanced around for you, but I didn't see you, so that I could meet you. And it was very busy, filled with kids!

We will stop by soon again!

Skrip,

I'm so glad you came by! I would have liked to have met you. It sounds like you were here on Tuesday. Did we have the power outage yet? That was our busiest day, I think we had everyone from PUSD here that day!
