Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Mother's Day 2011

Good May, young Pomonans! Don't forget that this coming Sunday is Mother's Day. You don't have to buy your moms anything. They would love to have a homemade card from you and/or a great big bear hug!!!!

Of course, if you want to buy them something go right ahead!!

Joke of the day: Why was Cinderella no good at hockey?
Answer: Because she was always running away from the ball! ;)

Charlotte, you're right! I'll have to go back to my source and correct them. Thanks for catching it, I sure didn't! :)

Pride, it's always good to see you and baby. He's getting so big I won't be able to call him baby much longer!!

I hope you two have a GREAT Mother's Day because you are great mothers!
