Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Abbit the Average!

Good Wednesday, young Pomonans! What a great time we had with Abbit the Average. He is absolutely one of my favorite children's performers. He has a great sense of humor and is quite talented as a magician, a juggler too!

Congratulations to the winners of our drawing and to our readers of the week: Lavon Sylvers and Daniel Orduna.

Next Wednesday we will have Wild Wonders. They bring animals and last year they even brought a baby alligator. It was great!

Joke of the day: What's worse than finding a worm in your apple?
Answer: Finding only half a worm! ;)

My hubby and I had a fun cool afternoon watching the magic show...The turn out was amazing. I love that I have been able to expose Ethan to the wonders of the library.
