Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

ROAAR!HAPPY WEEKEND,MY FRIENDS!

Have a great weekend young Pomonans! If you think there is nothing to do on weekends, think again! Our beautiful parks are open. Why not go for a picnic and then over to the library? You can either study, do homework or play on the computers. Remember that you must have your library cards if you want to go on the computers.

Saturdays are usually our busiest day. I would suggest not coming right when we open but wait until after 3:00pm. We usually calm down by then. If we haven't, sorry!

Again, have a great weekend and take care of all those beautiful pets out there.

Joke of the day: Why are elephants ashamed to go to the beach?
Answer: Because they have a hard time keeping their trunks up! :)
