Welcome to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Room!

Ms. Clara Webber was the first children's librarian of Pomona Public Library. A long time correspondent with Mrs. Laura Ingalls Wilder, she was instrumental in having the Children's Room named in honor of Mrs. Wilder on May 25, 1950. Today, we house the original hand written manuscript for the novel Little Town on the Prairie. Every February, we host the Laura Ingalls Wilder Sociable in honor of Mrs. Wilder's February 7th birthday.

Craft Day!





Good Wednesday, young Pomonans! We had a craft day for all of you lead by our resident teen, Kelly Gomez. She did a fantastic job and a great time was had by all!

Abbit the Average as Hairless Potter!










Hello young Pomonans! We had a great time with Abbit the Average as Hairless Potter!! What energy he has! Abbit is one of our most beloved entertainers and we enjoy him every year. The kids remember him and are sure to be here for his performance. Just look at the last picture how engaged the children are! To us he is not Abbit the Average but Abbit the Magnificent!! Bravo!!!

Next Wednesday at 3:30pm we will have a craft. So if you have a crafty mind, be sure to be here!!

Fantastic Patrick at the Pomona Public Library


Good Monday, young Pomonans! Last Wednesday we had Fantastic Patrick perform for us. He was quite memorable with his juggling and riding his unicycle. We had a nice turnout for him and everyone enjoyed the show.

This coming Wednesday, July 20th, we have our favorite entertainer coming! Abbit the Average will be back to make us laugh and laugh! Can't wait!

First Craft of the Summer: Rain Stick





Good Wednesday, young Pomonans! We made rain sticks today. You could decorate them the way you wanted and take them home to make it sound like rain. This time of year we need to remember what that sounds like!
