Greg Shapton's Farewell Party

These picures were taken last week at our library director's farewell party. It was rather bitter sweet because we are glad for his retirement but we don't want him to retire!

Because of arthritis in my knee, I can't come into work. Ms. Nissa will be doing the story times until I can come back. I'll miss you!! I'll keep you posted as to when I return.

Memorial Day

This coming Monday is Memorial day. It's a time to reflect on all the men and women who have served in the U.S. military. Some came home and some lost their lives so that we can live in a safe community.

I always remember my Uncle Francis Orin Moore. He was a fighter pilot and was shot down over Germany during WWII. I never met him but I was born on his birthday. It doesn't get better than that.
