You betcha, our air is back on! We haven't had cool air in here since June 28th. Those of you who came in to beat the heat left pretty much after you came in and we couldn't blame you. Now that the heat is back up you can come in, read and cool off.
We are sooooo happy!

Still No Air Conditioning at PPL
Hello young Pomonans! This is one of two huge fans that they have brought in to cool us down some. And I do mean some. It helps if you are standing right in front of it but if you are in the stacks it doesn't help much. They put one downstairs and one upstairs. Do you think they put one in the children's room? No they did not. :(We are glad that it is cooler today and hope for a cool summer! Don't forget to be reading your hours because we have some great prizes!

Still No Air Conditioning at PPL
Good Monday, young Pomonans! Yes, it is still quite warm here at PPL. If you come in, please be sure to wear comfortable clothes as it is quite warm in here.
The Reading Buddies are going strong on Mondays and Tuesdays. Not many of you are sticking around much after that and I don't blame you. It may not be fixed for a while but believe me, I will post when it is cool again.
Remember this coming Wednesday is our comedian magician, Abbit the Average. It will be at 3:30pm outside under a shade tree. Remember to bring a blanket or something to sit on that will make you more comfortable.

Air Conditioning Still Out at PPL
We all empathize with Roscoe the Pug dog. It looks like he is in a library too with no air conditioning. I notice people aren't staying as long and I don't blame them. If you want air conditioning, it looks like you'll have to go to the mall.
We will have our Bubble Mania program inside tomorrow but all others will be outside under the shade trees. Please bring a blanket or something to sit on so you will be more comfortable.
We will make it through this! The show will go on! Long live Pomona!!

Warning! No Air Conditioning at PPL

As some of you felt yesterday, our air conditioning went out. It is still out today so if you're looking for somewhere to stay out of the heat, try the mall. But we are still here and we are doing our best to joke about it and so far it's working. (I hope that is still true around 4pm) ;)
Today is our last Thursday to be open so we are all appreciating that. It will be our last infant story time as well. We are combining the two story times (infant and toddler) for the summer and we will re-evaluate it in September.
